The Clambake
The Clambake is a DIY zine I founded and co-produced with Kat J. Weiss from 2014 to 2016. We approached artists and musicians and asked them light-hearted questions that have nothing to do with their professions or hobbies, and draw their portraits to accompany the interview. We also invited illustrators to answer questions in drawings rather than words, and asked the interviewees to illustrate the interviewer in return.
I conducted the interviews, designed the zine, illustrated the covers, and bound the zines by hand. We had stockists in the U.S. and took the zines on a U.S. tour from coast to coast. View all magazines issues online here.
The Clambake was featured in Temporary Art Review.
