Smoke Magazine
Note: This is a concept project.
Smoke Magazine is a London-based culture and lifestyle publication.
Challenge: To create a cohesive look that is bold, attractive, and attention-grabbing. The aim is to emulate staple fashion and glamour magazines, such as Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and Vogue, but with a minimalistic and artistic twist leaning towards contemporary design publications. The content pages must be clean, structured, and easily legible, with a heavy emphasis on imagery.
Result: A sophisticated identity with a feminine touch to speak to the target audience. The combination of strong, expressive typography and a meticulously styled photography series provides the reader with enough visual interest to be invested into the magazine and subsequently draw them into reading the articles.
Some images belong to George Pimentel, Emily Hope, and Peter Hapak. I do not claim ownership to photography used for this concept project.
